A Drive Across America: Day 3

A Drive Across America: Day 3

I woke up this morning in the Ouachita National Forest. I slept warm and comfortable, but it was freezing getting out of my sleeping bag. I packed up camp and got back on the road.

On the border of Arkansas and Oklahoma, I enjoyed the company of some local folks at Waffle House #1432. There was some amazing street art of Native Americans painted onto the sides of buildings. The picture for this blog post is one of those paintings.

I really enjoyed driving through Arkansas and Oklahoma. The people in these states are great.

I am spending the night in Amarillo, Texas. I ate at the Coyote Bluff Cafe and had a "Burger from Hell". The burger was stacked with jalapeños, and it nearly defeated me.

There are only two days left in my journey. I should be in Los Angeles on Friday.
